Bamboo fibre is a natural fibre extracted from the culm of bamboo grass. Bamboo, one of the most sustainable raw materials has superior mechanical properties besides several other benefits. In several studies, bamboo is summarised as “Natural glass fibre” as it demonstrates similar specific properties as glass fibre. Use of bamboo fibre composites in the industrial and consumer applications results in light weight, environment-friendly products with excellent performance characteristics.
